The mystery of Prince Harry’s spare hair: Photo of the Duke of Sussex for a mental health start-up shows him with thick, dark locks – days after appearing much thinner and lighter at a polo match in Singapore
The Duke of Sussex stated when he joined US mental health start-up BetterUp in 2021 that he intended to “help create impact in people’s lives.”
Well, he certainly seems to impress with his balding thatched roof.
A new photo has been published on his profile page on the company’s website showing him thick, dark locks.
As photos of Prince Harry from his polo match in Singapore last week showed, his hair usually looks much thinner and lighter.
Hair is a thorny issue for King Charles’ California-based son, 38, who is chief impact officer for BetterUp.

In one of his numerous jokes about his older brother in his memoir, Spare, he described Prince William’s hair loss as “alarming” and “more advanced than mine” despite their two-year age difference.
Maybe the heir to the throne should join BetterUp – or should that be BetterHair?
It comes after a leading British cosmetic surgeon claimed in 2021 that Prince Harry’s hair loss has accelerated since he moved to the United States with Meghan and predicted he would be virtually bald by age 50.
But dr. Asim Shahmalak of the Crown Clinic in Manchester says the Duke of Sussex goes bald more slowly than Prince William and is 10 years behind his older brother when it comes to hair loss.
Dr. Shahmalak said Harry is at the same stage of hair loss at age 36 as William was at 26.
In his book Spare, Harry described Prince William’s hair loss as “alarming” and “more advanced than mine” despite their two-year age difference. Pictured: Prince William in July this year
Prince William is pictured in Cornwall at a much younger age, when he was just 26
He added: ‘The gene for baldness isn’t as strong in Harry, but he still loses his hair quickly. At the moment, most of Harry’s hair loss is around the crown.
“He has a growing bald spot right across his crown and you can also see his hair thinning towards the front as well.
“Without treatment, the acceleration we’ve seen over the past 15 months will only increase over the next year.” Harry may never be as bald as his brother William. William is more affected than any of the royal men.’
Meanwhile, a celebrity hairstylist in 2021 claimed Harry showed “noticeably” thinning hair on a New York outing after “savvy retouching skills” gave him a “full body” of locks that matched Meghan Markle’s on their recent Time 100 cover.
