The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and wife Sylvie are selling their Kangaroo Valley vacation home for a discounted price of $2.78 million after struggling to sell
The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and his wife Sylvie have sold their home in Kangaroo Valley.
The pair moved the stylish new container home in the idyllic town of New South Wales for $2.78 million.
The property was listed for sale in February last year for $3.5 million but failed to attract a buyer.
Larry and his wife paid $2.15 million for the house in 2020 and rented it out for $1000 to $1200 per night as a short-term vacation destination.
The couple often spent their weekends at the luxurious four-bedroom Sky Ridge property, nicknamed the “Black Barn” for its industrial feel. Vastgoed.com.au.

The off-the-grid home, designed by architect Alexander Michael in 2018, combines steel, glass and polished concrete floors with eco-friendly touches such as solar panels and rainwater harvesting.
The container also has two striking fireplaces in the open living room.
Larry, Sylvie and their realtor son, Jye Emdur, added a sunrise yoga deck and pool at a later date.
It was the second vacation home Larry has purchased. In February 2020, he paid $1.1 million for a home in Berowra Waters, northern Sydney.

The 58-year-old bought the cushion as an escape from his home in posh Bondi Beach.
“The Magic Bay is much quieter than Bondi,” Larry told The Daily Telegraph at the time.
That same year, the Channel Seven star and his wife quietly put their two Bondi investment properties on the market.
The first property is a one bedroom apartment on Brighton Boulevard.

The couple bought the condo in 2001 for $318,000 and rented it out for $600 a week.
The second home is a larger, two-bedroom apartment that the Emdurs purchased that same year for $400,000.
The apartment is located on Glenn Street and was rented for $850 per week.
Larry decided to list the properties due to the recent success of his real estate agent son Jye, a real estate partner at The Agency, in the suburb.
