The Monk movie, Hulu’s new heist thriller, and more new TV this week

The end of the year is approaching, but TV isn't slowing down. This week we have all kinds of offers to break the doldrums of this long dark period we are in (curse you, daylight saving time). If you're looking for something a little more exciting, it's there evildoersa heist-murder mystery, or Blood Coast, a new crime thriller from Netflix. Or maybe you prefer the cozy comfort of Mr. Monk's latest case – the TV movie that, if you believe the title, will be the final farewell to the beloved Tony Shalhoub character.

Blood Coast

Blood Coast – as the name suggests – follows this formula, with Netflix describing it as a “rogue police captain and his daredevil team” taking on a ruthless drug dealer.
