The moment Kamala Harris staff desperately intervened to end interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier: ‘It’s gotta stop!’

Fox News host Bret Baier shared details about how Vice President Kamala Harris’ team desperately tried to wrap up the Fox News interview after their awkward meeting in Pennsylvania.

The Democratic presidential candidate joined Baier on Wednesday night for an interview that aired on Fox News Channel’s Special Report. It was her first ever interview for the conservative network.

The pair spoke over each other numerous times as Baier pressed the 59-year-old vice president on multiple topics, including immigration, right out of the gate.

“I’m talking like four people are waving their hands like ‘it has to stop,’” Baier described to his panel how the interview ended after it was completed.

“I finally had to get off that,” Baier shrugged.

“There are so many things and maybe she should do more of them,” he added.

Harris did the interview after a campaign event in Washington Crossing, PA, before leaving for Wisconsin on Wednesday evening.

It was part of a busy campaign week for the vice president, as she makes a number of stops in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin before also heading to Georgia this weekend.

The testy interview came as the vice president was pressured to make more unscripted appearances and interviews as she tried to reach more voters.

After the interview aired, the Harris campaign posted a series of clips from the interview on social media and promoted moments of praise from commentators responding to Fox News and CNN after it aired.
