This is the moment a newborn puppy is rescued after being trapped nine meters underground in a pipe.
The tiny American Mastiff emerged unharmed after a tense two-and-a-half-hour rescue mission, during which rescuers deployed a drain camera to locate him.
A leash attached to the camera was wrapped around the puppy and he was carefully tossed to safety, as this incredible footage shows.
He was accidentally kicked into an open ditch by his mother while she was giving birth to the litter.
Experts from Dyno-Rod were called to a house in Hayes, West London, by fire crews who tried unsuccessfully to reach the puppy.

One of the Dyno-Rod engineers involved in the dramatic rescue, Billy Stevens, said: ‘He was smothered in the mud but otherwise completely unharmed.
‘His owner was ecstatic and so relieved that we managed to bring her puppy to the surface unharmed.
‘We were also excited that there was a happy ending because it was a tight squeeze and such a tense, delicate operation.
‘The mother kicked out her leg during the birth and this unfortunate puppy happened to be in the way and was knocked into an open ditch.
‘He must have slipped about nine meters down the pipe and was trapped underground.
‘The local fire service personnel were called out and tried to reach him but were unable to do so and called us a rash.
‘We ran the drain camera down and attached a noose to it so that when we located the pup we could ever so gently loop that round and slowly and carefully bring him to the surface.
‘The whole rescue mission took two-and-a-half hours and we could see what was happening through a small screen throughout.

“We all held our breath, and it took the little dog a Herculean amount of strength to claw his way up the pipe as we helped him.
‘We couldn’t rush it and just pull him up quickly because we could have dropped him and hurt him in the process.
‘The puppy was exhausted by the end, but there was a happy ending. He certainly had a dramatic start in his young life.’
The owner – who did not want to be identified – named the dog Dyno in honor of his rescuers, who rushed to his aid on 28 September.
Billy’s colleague Luis Rendall added: ‘It was a huge relief and a real feel-good story.
“We used the CCTV equipment to locate the puppy in the drain and with the help of adapted drainage equipment we were able to retrieve him safe and sound from the pipe and return him to a very grateful owner.”
