Jack Nicklaus has won the most Masters tournaments with six. He was also the first consecutive winner, winning the tournament in 1965 and 1966. His other Masters victories came in 1963, 1972, 1975 and 1986.
Tiger Woods is very close to Nicklaus with five wins in total. His last tournament win came in 2019.

This year’s Masters will take place from Thursday, April 6 to Sunday, April 9.
As always, the tournament will take place at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.
The action will start at 2pm in the UK on the first two days and at 4pm on the last two days.

Sky Sports will broadcast all the action throughout the week. Preparation for the tournament will begin on Monday, April 3, before opening day on Thursday.

What is the prize money on offer?
According sport lensthe total purse is 12.1 million British pounds ($15 million), which will be awarded to players based on where they finish in the tournament.
The reported £12 million purse for this year’s tournament is the same as last year.
The winner of this year’s tournament will earn around £2.2 million ($2.7 million), while the runners-up will take home £1.3 million (1.6 million).
The player who finishes third in the tournament will take home just over £800,000 (£1 million).

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has enjoyed a successful year so far, winning the Phoenix Open and The Players Championship.
Heading into the Masters, Scheffler revealed that he knows Augusta National well enough now that there are no surprises.
“There’s always a couple of greens that are different than the rest, depending on which ones they’ve replaced and what I’ve noticed,” Scheffler said.
“I think I’ve been on the golf course a good amount of time, where I know what’s going on and have a good idea of what’s going on and when you go and play this time of year it’s still very different to tournament because the speeds of the greens are not exactly the same and the pin locations are obviously a bit different.’
