The Masked Singer: Olivia Culpo reveals identity after performing as UFO in season quarterfinals
Olivia Culpo was exposed as the UFO in Wednesday’s quarter-final episode of The Masked Singer with a British Invasion theme.
The former Miss Universe received the lowest scores during the season nine episode and her identity was revealed at the end of the hour-long show.
“No crazy way,” yelled Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, 50.
“That was fun, guys,” said Olivia, 30, who wore a silver outfit with a spaceship skirt.
“I can’t believe it’s Olivia,” said 44-year-old Nicole Scherzinger. “My friend Olivia!”

“Did you know she could sing like that?” Jenny asked.
“I know you are the most beautiful person ever,” Nicole said. I mean, look at that face. But I didn’t know you could sing.’
“I mean, I’m no Nicole Scherzinger, but I like to sing in the shower,” Olivia said.
“It takes a lot of guts to get there,” Nicole said.
Jenny pointed out that she had made it to the quarterfinals.
“I don’t know how that happened,” Olivia joked.
Presenter Nick Cannon, 42, asked her if singing would be something she would seriously consider pursuing.
“The singing in the shower that I do will just make it sound a little more professional,” said Olivia. “I’m just going to kick it up a notch.”

The audience cheered for her and she danced across the stage. Nick asked her if she wanted to say something to her fans, family or the panel.
“Thank you so much for this opportunity,” Olivia said. “I really feel like even though I had a mask on, this is more of my personality that I was able to share for the first time. So much of what I feel like I have to do isn’t about that, or people don’t want to see your personality, so this was really, really fun for me.”
Olivia then danced across the stage singing to the audience.
Before her exposure, the UFO was excited to perform for the public in disguise.
“A lot of my career is based on how I look physically, so adding value to my energy or my singing makes me feel like I have more to offer,” said UFO. “And you know, I’m getting older, so I have to hold on to something. Just kidding!’
UFO performed Amy Winehouse’s song Tears Dry On Their Own as dancers with umbrellas in British-themed outfits surrounded her. She jumped up and ran around the stage in celebration of finishing.
“You’re so funny UFO,” Jenny said.
A butler brought out a clue. It was a telephone. Nick picked it up, listened to a distorted voice, and said they told him the clue was “red, white, and blue.”

The Host: Nick Cannon hosted the British Invasion-themed Fox show
“I am beyond proud to represent and to be from the US!” said UFO.
Nick asked UFO how The Masked Singer performed on stage compared to other stages.
“This is really great for me because my usual career is very rigid and I feel like you have to be perfect,” said UFO. ‘It’s about your appearance, for example. And it’s a little strange, but honestly, this is the most authentic thing I’ve ever been able to be.’
Robin Thicke, 46, suspected she was supermodel Molly Sims. Jenny thought it was Gigi Hadid.
Nicole was sure she was Lily Collins. Ken Jeong, 53, suspected she was Rebecca Romijn.
UFO was one of the top four contestants on the show. Medusa, The California Roll and Macaw all also performed.
Nick opened the British themed show by coming out wearing a bowler hat and sitting on a throne with a giant English flag behind him.
“It promised to be a smashing evening of British hits,” said Nick.

The show ended with a touching tribute to Jerry Springer, who passed away on April 27 at the age of 79. He appeared on the show last season performing as Beetle and his memorial was accompanied by a recording of the audience chanting, “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry.”
Macaw, a giant bird mask with feathers down his arm, went first. He sang Elton John’s Your Song while standing next to a red grand piano while someone played. The audience applauded when he finished.
“What a beautiful, beautiful performance,” Nicole said.
Macaw ran across the stage, flapping his wings.
“That vote could win the season nine championship,” said Robin.
“We really need to see all the colors of your heart on that stage tonight,” Nicole said. “Thank you for being so vulnerable and brave enough to share that with us.”
A butler they called Gerard the Butler came out with a tray with a clue that said “leader.”
“Whether it’s in the studio, on stage, or on TV, I know how to lead,” said Macaw.

“The macaw is Macaulay Culkin,” Ken guessed.
Everyone laughed.
“That’s a Mac-terrible bet,” Jenny joked.
Jenny thought it might be Ryan Cabrera. Nicole guessed it could be Darren Criss or David Archuleta.
“After going through many transitions in life, I feel like I can spread my wings and show my true colors,” Macaw said.
California Roll, made up of five different singers, then got into giant sushi outfits. They went on stage together and sang Creep by Radiohead.
“I’m amazed,” Jenny said when they were done.
“Individually your voices are a voice to be reckoned with, but collectively you are limitless,” said Nicole.
The butler pulled out another clue that read “White House.”
“Well, we had such a good time performing at the White House that they even gave us a standing O,” said one of the reels.

Jenny thought it was Pentatonix. Nicole thought they were members of Hamilton’s cast. Ken said they were Miami Sound Machine.
“The harmonies come from our souls,” said one of the scrolls. “The reason we sing is to spread love, peace and joy.”
Medusa, with a giant head of green snakes, went next. She fought back in the competition after being saved by the judges with the Ding Dong Keep It On Bell. Medusa sang Adele’s hit Someone Like You.
Robin and Ken sat down on their desks to applaud her when she finished. The crowd chanted ‘Medusa’.
“Medusa, for me you are the one to beat!” Nicole said.
The butler pulled out a clue that read “Mom.”
“Being an artist is my greatest passion, but being a mother is my favorite job,” said Medusa.
“That rules out Kesha,” Robin said.

Nicole thought it was Imogen Heap or Amy Lee. Jenny thought it could be Ashlee Simpson. Nick asked Medusa where her deep emotion came from.
“I’ve had devastating losses in my life and I think my goal as an artist was to make people feel less alone and that’s what music has always done for me,” said Medusa. “So just the fact that you feel what I’m trying to portray means more than you’ll ever know.”
The rest of the contestants Macaw, California roll and Medusa advanced to the semifinals.
The Masked Singer returns next week on Fox.
