The Masked Singer: Michael Bolton, 70, reveals identity after performing as Wolf on hit Fox show

Michael Bolton revealed his identity after performing as Wolf on Wednesday during the DC Superheroes Night episode of The Masked Finger on Fox.

“I could get used to being the Wolf,” Michael, 70, said after removing his mask. ‘It was great. The audience was great. The show is great. But the audience, you guys were fantastic. Thank you.’

‘You are so loved!’ yelled Jenny McCarthy, 50, who dressed as Harley Quinn for the episode.

“Michael, it’s always an honor to hear you sing,” said Nicole Scherzinger, 44, who was dressed as Catwoman. “Nobody does it like you do and you still do it with such effortless grace.”

The Grammy-winning singer, while donning a wolf costume that featured a giant silver face with red eyes, performed The Doors’ song Break On Through (To The Other Side).

The wolf was eliminated when it received the lowest score for its performance from the panelists and the audience.

Before his unmasking, Michael shared clues about his identity that included: a saxophone, Grammy Awards and a photo of Andy Garcia.

He also revealed that he was friends with Lady Gaga, Andy Samberg, and Jay-Z.

The stars of the new Shazam movie, Zachary Levi, 42, and Dame Helen Mirren, 77, appeared remotely to drop additional clues about Wolf. Zachary said the new track was ‘Timberlake’.

‘Who could it be?’ Helen teased.

The Wolf shared that he collaborated on a song with Justin Timberlake.

“I’m a soulful white boy myself, I know a soulful white boy when I hear one,” said panelist Robin Thicke, 45, dressed in a Robin suit. ‘I think the Grammys, that this is a very legendary singer as you said. I think this is Michael Bolton.

Nicole and Jenny agreed, but 53-year-old Ken Jeong, dressed as the Riddler in a green suit, thought it was Richard Marx.

Show host Nick Cannon, 42, asked Michael after unmasking what he had planned next.

“There’s a few things going on and an album coming out in the spring,” Michael said. “It’s about making this a beautiful world despite what’s going on. Whatever the promotion, we have to do our best to make it a beautiful world. That’s what this album is about.

The show opened with Nicole singing the Bonnie Tyler song Holding Out For A Hero in her catsuit. As part of the comic book theme night, the Batmobile from the 1989 Batman movie and the superhero suits of Aquaman, Shazam and Superman were on display during the show.

The Gargoyle, a giant stone-like statue, was the first contestant and sang Charlie Puth’s song One Call Away. Tracks of her included hot sauce and an “I love LA” sticker.

“That was absolutely phenomenal,” Jenny said when she was done.

“Gargoyle, you stole my heart with that performance,” Nicole said.

Zachary and Helen in a video shared another clue to Gargoyle’s identity.

“You’re about to get some concrete answers,” Zachary quipped.

“You’re very good at this,” Helen said.

“The track is ‘record maker,'” Zachary said.

Robin thought Gargoyle was former Los Angeles Chargers tight end Antonio Gates. Ken assumed that he was The Weeknd. Jenny believed that he was the American football player Odell Beckham Jr.

Squirrel, who was wearing a sexy tight blue bodysuit with a giant furry tail, was next. Squirrel performed the Pink Try song. Clues to her included: that she was an ice skater, kissed with Tom Cruise, and a castle.

“Squirrel, you made the audience and us go crazy,” Jenny said when she finished. ‘The tone of your voice is so fucking beautiful.’

Jim Lee, comic book artist and editor and creative director of DC Comics, shared another clue from Squirrel. Lee shared a special image he drew of Batman wearing a watch in a city scene.

“I can’t stop looking at my picture,” Ken joked. ‘He looks just like me, Jim Lee.’

“You’re the model, Ken,” Jim said.

Jenny guessed it might be Katie Holmes because she appeared in a Batman movie and kissed Tom Cruise.

Robin guessed that Squirrel was Uma Thurman.

For the Battle Royale, Gargoyle faced Squirrel and they both sang the song Kryptonite from 3 Doors Down.

“It’s anybody’s game,” Jenny said.

After the votes were tabulated, Squirrel was declared the winner and Gargoyle was unmasked.

In the final moments, as the audience chanted “Take it off, take it off!”, Jenny was conflicted.

“I feel like he’s got more to him,” Jenny said.

“Jenny, you have to save him,” Nicole said.

“I think it needs saving,” Jenny said, running for the “Ding Dong Keep It On Bell” she hit with her supervillain bat.

“Harley Quinn has done a superhero move,” said Nick.

Jenny said that she knew that Gargoyle needed to be saved.

“I’m back in the game, honey,” Gargoyle said.

The Masked Singer will return next Wednesday on Fox.
