The Masked Singer’s Bigfoot ‘gives away identity’ just hours before ITV final

There are only a few hours left until the big reveal.

But fans of The Masked Singer think they’ve already identified one of the grand finalists: Bigfoot.

The furry character has reportedly ‘given away’ his identity – Alex Brooker – who fans are convinced is behind the costume – broke his silence on the speculation.

Bigfoot usually plays a tune with his leg wrapped in a cast, which fans see as his biggest clue as viewers think it’s a nod to Alex’s TV show, The Last Leg.

Recently, Alex, 39, signed up to play rugby for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation PDRL team, which fans say is also an obvious hint as he referenced a rhino during his recent clues.

But now the latest hint was spotted during Friday night’s episode of his Channel 4 show.

Speaking about being in the middle of gossip ahead of the grand finale, Alex said he wouldn’t indulge in something so ridiculous.

Alex teased viewers: “That can’t be (me). I wouldn’t appear on television as something ridiculous. I know you’ve talked about this. I just have to say this right away. Now look at me, I’m sweating. I’m sweating here tonight.’

But his co-host Josh Widdicombe, who already revealed he suspects Alex was Bigfoot on his podcast Parenting Hell, joked: “Because you’re lying.”

Alex replied, “Do you really think I could go in a costume, a huge furry costume? They would open it and there would be nothing left. It would be like the end of the Snowman.”

Then a clip of Bigfoot played on the show and Alex said, “All I’m saying is, how can you look at that and think it’s me? It’s clearly one of the Backstreet Boys.’

Josh added, “I like Bigfoot because it refers to you. Flamingo, that was the other option. The first week Brooker was on as Bigfoot, and it’s clear to all of us that Brooker is Bigfoot, even though he’s lying to us.”

And unfortunately for Alex, fans seemed to agree with Josh as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their theories.

One person wrote: ‘AlexBrooker just gave away the game of being #Bigfoot on #MaskedSingerUK while on #TheLastLeg.’

‘Alex is very quiet on @TheLastLeg and has a poker face so he must be big foot on @MaskedSingerUK #MaskedSingerUK #AlexBrooker, watch his face every time big foot or the masked singer is mentioned.’

‘They’re trying to challenge #AlexBrooker on #MaskedSingerUK; not true?’

From the start of this year’s series, twelve celebrities disguised themselves in the hope their identities wouldn’t be revealed during their iconic performances.

But over the course of the ITV show, nine stars were unmasked, leaving three people in the final tonight at 7.20pm.

Only Bigfoot, Cricket and Piranha are still competing for the crown.

The all-male final was a point of controversy after the two remaining female candidates suffered the blow in the semi-final.

American singer and actress Keala Settle was unmasked as the Air Fryer and ’80s pop star Tiffany was revealed as the Eiffel Tower.

Whichever costumed celebrity takes the metaphorical crown will only dine out in terms of bragging rights.

The winners of the American version of The Masked Singer, on the other hand, win a trophy that resembles a masquerade mask.
