The Masked Singer: Alexa Bliss and Holly Robinson Peete reveal identities after performing on Fox

Professional wrestler Alexa Bliss and actress Holly Robinson Peete revealed their identities after performing on Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer on Fox.

The season nine episode featured a Country Night theme with Fairy, Axolotl and Macaw competing against each other.

Axolotl sported a giant pink head with googly eyes, feathery ears and a sequined pink jacket while performing LeAnn Rimes’ Can’t Fight The Moonlight. She shared clues that included the fact that she was bullied as a child and even stopped eating. She ended her performance with a mic drop.

“Only a dancer can do a tumble like that,” said panelist Jenny McCarthy, 50.

“That’s the cutest costume, great song choice, great energy and he dropped the mic at the end,” said Robin Thicke, 46.

Wide receiver Robert Woods came out to give another clue about the Axolotl’s identity. He came out wearing a football mask that said 2.3 million.

“That’s how many people look at me when I work,” Axolotl said.

Robin was convinced that it was Nikki Bella. Ken Jeong, 53, insisted that she was the sister of her Brie Bella. Nicole Scherzinger, 44, thought she was Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney, a gold medalist.

Jenny correctly guessed that it was WWE Superstar Alexa.

Show host Nick Cannon, 42, asked Alexa after she was unmasked how her experience on the show was.

“This was a personal thing for me because I actually have crippling stage fright when it comes to singing,” Alexa said. “I actually cried backstage before coming here because I was so nervous. But I’m so proud of myself because I overcame my fear.’

‘So proud of you!’ Jenny said.

“And you were great,” Alexa said. “Everyone was amazing, and it was just one of those things. I deal with anxiety and this was something I wanted to show, I can be proud and if someone else is having something that they are afraid of something, do something every day that scares them because I did this today and it was so much fun.’

Actress and singer Holly, 58, performed as a green-winged glowing fairy and was also unmasked on the hour-long show after losing the battle royale to Macaw.

Holly in her Fairy costume sang the song Angel From Montgomery by Bonnie Raitt. Before taking the stage, she shared that she was friends with Linda Ronstadt and that music was a big part of her life. She also showed clues that included a police badge and a book of fairy tales.

“With a voice like that there’s nothing you can’t sing,” Nicole said.

“Great job,” Jenny said.

Comedian Bill Engvall came out to give a special hint which was a blackjack hand of 21.

Before Fairy was unmasked, Nicole gave her last guess and thought it was Traci Ellis Ross. Jenny thought she was Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corrine. Robin said that she was Steve Harvey’s daughter, Lori, because she said that she was a ‘nepo baby’.

“It takes one to know one,” quipped Robin, who is the son of the late actor Alan Thicke.

Ken insisted that it was Jennifer Aniston.

All the panelists turned out to be wrong.

‘How come they didn’t know?’ Holly said. “I feel like I know everyone on that panel and no one knew.”

“Your voice is so beautiful,” Nicole said.

“I’ve always been kind of a closet singer,” Holly said. ‘I sang the theme songs for ‘Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper’ and 21 Jump Street.’

“I didn’t know that,” Nick said.

Holly also said that her connection to Sesame Street Night was that her father, Matt Robinson, was the original Gordon on the show.

“The show started,” Holly said. ‘He introduced all these characters. The first time Oscar sang ‘I love trash,’ my dad was standing there. He introduced Big Bird, all of that, so as a five-year-old, having your dad be Gordon, it was kind of amazing. So singing to Oscar, talking about a full circle moment, was amazing.

Macaw, a giant feathered bird that wears a red suit, shared hints that he acted at a young age but was anxious about it.

“That was amazing,” Nicole said. “Wow, I felt like I was at a country music concert.”

“Macaw, you might be the favorite tonight,” said Jenny.

American country singer Deana Carter brought another clue to Macaw’s identity which was a silver medalist.

Robin thought it might be actor Elijah Woods. Jenny guessed it could be Zayn Malik from One Direction. Nicole guessed Doug Robb from Hoobastank.

Fairy and Macaw went head-to-head in the Battle Royale singing Shania Twain’s song That Don’t Impress Me Much with dancers behind them.

Macaw came out with the most votes.

“They were both amazing,” Nicole said. ‘Amazing.’
