The season nine episode featured a Country Night theme with Fairy, Axolotl and Macaw competing against each other.
Axolotl sported a giant pink head with googly eyes, feathery ears and a sequined pink jacket while performing LeAnn Rimes’ Can’t Fight The Moonlight. She shared clues that included the fact that she was bullied as a child and even stopped eating. She ended her performance with a mic drop.
“Only a dancer can do a tumble like that,” said panelist Jenny McCarthy, 50.
“That’s the cutest costume, great song choice, great energy and he dropped the mic at the end,” said Robin Thicke, 46.

Show host Nick Cannon, 42, asked Alexa after she was unmasked how her experience on the show was.
“This was a personal thing for me because I actually have crippling stage fright when it comes to singing,” Alexa said. “I actually cried backstage before coming here because I was so nervous. But I’m so proud of myself because I overcame my fear.’

Actress and singer Holly, 58, performed as a green-winged glowing fairy and was also unmasked on the hour-long show after losing the battle royale to Macaw.

“Your voice is so beautiful,” Nicole said.
“I’ve always been kind of a closet singer,” Holly said. ‘I sang the theme songs for ‘Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper’ and 21 Jump Street.’
“I didn’t know that,” Nick said.
Holly also said that her connection to Sesame Street Night was that her father, Matt Robinson, was the original Gordon on the show.
“The show started,” Holly said. ‘He introduced all these characters. The first time Oscar sang ‘I love trash,’ my dad was standing there. He introduced Big Bird, all of that, so as a five-year-old, having your dad be Gordon, it was kind of amazing. So singing to Oscar, talking about a full circle moment, was amazing.

“Macaw, you might be the favorite tonight,” said Jenny.
American country singer Deana Carter brought another clue to Macaw’s identity which was a silver medalist.
