It is official: The miracles will finally make its way to Disney Plus on Wednesday, February 7.

The miraclesIts upcoming arrival on Disney Plus comes two weeks after it was initially made available for rental and/or purchase in select digital stores. Indeed, early January was The miracles received a streaming release date of January 9, but fans had to wait for a confirmed Disney Plus launch as Marvel opted to distribute the superhero film first on Apple TV, the Amazon Store and Google Play.
Before then, we speculated about when The miracles would make its Disney Plus arc and, not to blow our own trumpet, but we suggested that the film starring Brie Larson would be added to streaming’s film library in February 2024. We are therefore pleased that we were proven right.
Now that the February 7 release date is set, The miracles will follow its MCU brethren in their debut on Disney Plus, approximately three months after its original theatrical launch. Even better (well, for us anyway) we can give our new Disney Plus movie guide a proper update, as the Nia DaCosta-directed film will be the first film to hit the service since then. The creator on January 17 (on Disney Plus UK) and in the 2000s X Men on January 5 (on Disney Plus US).
Unfortunately for that The miracles, we won’t add it to our article about the best Disney Plus movies. As I said, the theatrical run, especially in terms of Marvel films, was a disaster. By checkout Mojo, The miracles earned a paltry $206.1 million worldwide – a measly return that made it the lowest-grossing MCU film of all time. With an eye-watering reported budget of approximately $270 million, The miracles failed to recoup production costs, let alone make a profit for Marvel.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, critical reception, poor word of mouth, and the general public’s apparent superhero fatigue didn’t help matters. But considering it has an 82% positive audience rating Rotten tomatoescoupled with the prospect of fans waiting for it to debut on Disney Plus before watching it, The miracles could surprise us all and draw a big audience next month. We will be there to report on this opportunity when The miracles makes the super-powerful leap from the big to the small screen this February.
