The mane event! Mullet Championship 2024 winners are crowned in annual competition

America’s most majestic mullets proved they are head and shoulders above the rest at the annual USA Mullet Championships.

The infamous ‘business at the front, party at the back’ haircut of the 80s is celebrated each year with a contest where fans can choose their favorite mullet and raise money for American war veterans at the same time.

Competitors proudly showed off their cuddly mullets as they competed in three categories this year: Kids, Teens and the coveted Mane Event.

The finalists in each category have been competing for votes over the past few weeks, with many proudly donning wraparound sunglasses and the Stars and Stripes style, while showing off their old-school hairstyles.

Today the winners of the three USA Mullet Championships were officially announced.

Six-year-old Kamden Cunningham was named Kids Mullet Champion 2024 with his mullet, nicknamed ‘The Kammander’, which he proudly grew out after his long hair was cut off with nose hair scissors by his older brother Karson.

Kamden, of Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, told the dramatic story behind his mullet in his contest entry.

His entry reads: ‘I always had beautiful ringlet curls, all natural. On humid days I had a pretty cool afro.

‘One day my older brother didn’t want me to have long hair anymore. He grabbed a pair of scissors in the bathroom to cut nose hair and started cutting the hair off.

‘My mother cried when she found a clump of curls at the top, but we could no longer leave my hair the way Karson ‘styled’ it.
