Buc-ee’s is looking to expand its operations to Oklahoma.
The chain, which was founded in Texas in 1982, prides itself on having the “cleanest bathrooms in America” and a large supply of snacks in its travel centers, and is looking to open locations in Lafayette and Ruston, Louisiana.
The news comes as the company opened its largest travel center to date in Texas in June.
The company, known for its giant stores and Beaver mascot, did not specify where in Oklahoma the diner would open.
Buc-ee’s is expanding rapidly beyond its southern roots. While most stores are located in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky, a single Colorado store in Johnstown shows that its reach is growing.
