How much is Powerball this week in Australia?

The best places to buy Powerball tickets could be revealed as the jackpot rises to $100 million.

According to The Lott, only two newsagents have sold more than one Powerball Division One winning ticket in the past decade.

Tosh’s Convenience Store in Ayr, Queensland, and Vic Market Lotto in Melbourne have each sold two Division One winning tickets since November 1, 2014.

Combined winnings from Tosh’s Convenience Store total $38.3 million, while the two tickets sold at Vic Market Lotto total more than $26 million.

Nationwide, 176 players have claimed more than $4.78 billion in Division One prizes. New South Wales leads with 66 winning tickets, followed by Victoria with 43 and Queensland with 38.

The biggest win in Powerball history took place in South Australia, where one ticket netted $150 million in May.

Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said winners could come from anywhere, but some regions seemed luckier than others.

“My best advice for anyone wanting a chance to win this week’s $100 million jackpot is to get your hands on an entry before the draw closes at 7:30pm AEST on Thursday evening,” she said.

‘For extra inspiration, I can also reveal that PowerHit tickets, a unique entry type, have delivered a quarter of all Division 1 wins over the past decade.

“Nearly two-thirds of these Powerball winning entries were QuickPicks, where the lottery terminal selects the numbers at random.”

For those who want to choose their own numbers, The Lott found that 17, 7, 9, 2 and 28 were the most frequently drawn from the master cylinder and 3 and 19 were the most frequently drawn Powerball numbers.

The two Powerball winners from Tosh’s Convenience Store were worth a combined $38.3 million

The stats come just in time for Thursday’s Powerball $100 Million Jackpot

So far this year, three Australians have each taken home $100 million in Powerball winnings.

“Christmas is a time to dream big, and with $100 million on the line in Powerball, those dreams can come true this holiday season and beyond,” said Ms. Hobdell.

The $100 million jackpot is the sixth largest in Australian lottery history, with entries closing at 7.30pm on November 28.
