Both of Microsoft's current Xbox consoles now have kitchen appliance counterparts. The Xbox Series S toaster recently debuted, succeeding the Xbox Series X refrigerator. It can be purchased at Walmart for $39.99. Instead of the ability to connect to a TV and play games, it can toast bread or bagels, printing the Xbox logo on the side with its internal heat coils.
The Series S toaster has a slot long enough to fit two slices of bread side by side, which I guess could be considered multiplayer support if the bread is for two people. Like most toasters, it has different browning levels, a removable crumb tray, a bread eject function and automatic switch-off.
Microsoft is staying quiet about its upcoming hardware plans for actual video game consoles, which based on a major leak in 2023 may include a revised Series X that doesn't support drives, as well as an interesting new wireless controller. But the latest roadmap apparently includes some little surprises that haven't been leaked, including this cheeky little toaster.
