Hello Games has been tirelessly updating Nobody’s heaven Over the years, all sorts of loose ends have been added to the space exploration game: expeditions, sandworms, thunderstorms, piracy and more. But there is still one thing that is sorely missing in Nobody’s heavenand it’s the humble fishing mini-game. Luckily, on Wednesday, Hello Games has announced a new update: Aquariusand it finally gives you the opportunity to concentrate and fish to your heart’s content.
The previous Nobody’s heaven patch introduced the first Worlds update, which changed many previously known planets. Hello Games paid special attention to water, adding dynamic wave generation and sparkling surface reflections. Sean Murray, managing director of Hello Games, notes in this announcement that Worlds was very successful, resulting in the highest player count in five years. A piece of fan art, showing a traveler fishing from the wing of their boat, inspired the team to create the Aquarius update.
Now, players are encouraged to find a nice lake or a vast ocean, settle down, and catch some fish. It seems that there are some normal-looking fish that aren’t too far off from our own specimens on Earth, and some much weirder alien creatures that would be more fitting for the wild and strange planets of Nobody’s heaven.
Players can use bait to attract rare fish, find hidden messages left in a bottle, earn trophies, and unlock new equipment, such as a personal fishing platform that can be easily set up in deep water and alien environments, or fish pots that can be left behind to catch rare catches. It is also possible to cook these fish, with new recipes and combinations to discover.
The Aquarius update is free and available now on PC and consoles.
