The steady trickle of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 leaks continues with the release of so-called screen protectors for the upcoming foldable tablet – and they hint at a design change for this year’s model.
Posted on social media by well-known tipster @UniverseelIjs (through 9to5Google), the screen protectors are apparently 60.2mm wide, compared to 57.4mm for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. So the thought is that this year the outer screen could be wider.
As you can see in our Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 review, the cover screen used when the phone is folded is narrower than other foldable phones. If this leak is true, this is something that Samsung will address this time.
The screen protectors (also seen in an accompanying video) also appear to have smaller edges and sharper corners than the equivalent protectors for the 2023 model. It all adds up to what could be a pretty substantial redesign for the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The rumors continue

One of the main selling points of foldable phones is that they give users a bigger screen when they need it, but they can also be folded into a more conventional size. As the video above shows, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could look more like a standard phone in terms of size when closed.
We’ve previously seen several leaks regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and its design: it’s rumored to be thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 5 that Samsung launched in 2023, and it’s said to be available in five colors .
There is also talk of a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, which may bring an even more premium experience – with a higher price tag, of course. For those on a more limited budget, a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE may also appear.
According to experts, we’ll see the Galaxy Z Fold 6 – as well as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, the Galaxy Watch 7, the Galaxy Ring and the Galaxy Buds 3 – at another Samsung Unpacked launch event on July 10.
