The Killers announce Australian tour to celebrate 20 years since their debut album Hot Fuss – Here’s how to get tickets to hear the Mr Brightside hitmakers live
The Killers return Down Under for a tour in November/December to celebrate 20 years since they took the music scene by storm.
The rock band was formed in 2001 by frontman Brandon Flowers and pianist Dave Keuning and conquered the ARIA charts with their debut album Hot Fuss.
Now the makers of Mr Brightside return to Australia to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 2004 album.
It’s the band’s first time Down Under since their 2022 debut A Day On The Green and they’ve prepared two very special kinds of shows.
Kicking off in Townsville, The Killers will perform their Rebel Diamonds Best of concert, featuring two chart-topping hits.
However, Sydney and Melbourne will get an exclusive second concert: a special performance of Hot Fuss in its entirety.
The Killers’ first Rebel Diamonds concert will take place on Saturday, November 30 in Townsville, at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
They will then fly to Sydney, where they will perform Rebel Diamonds on Friday 6 December and Hot Fuss on Saturday 7 December at the Qudos Bank Arena.

On Monday 9 December they return to Queensland to perform Rebel Diamonds at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Melbourne rounds out the tour with Rebel Diamonds on Thursday 12 December and Hot Fuss on Friday 13 December, both at Rod Laver Arena.
Tickets for all shows go on sale September 12 at 4pm local time. Border Members will receive an exclusive pre-sale on September 10th at 3pm local time.

The band performed their critically acclaimed new single Bright Light’s at their sold-out Hot Fuss concert in their hometown of Las Vegas last month to much acclaim.
The Killers – consisting of Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr. and Mark Stoermer – announced their eight-part residency show in January.
The chart-topping acts will take to the stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August, performing every track from their 2004 album Hot Fuss.
“It’s good to be home. Join the four of us for 8 shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this August as we celebrate 20 years of Hot Fuss,” they wrote on social media.

Hot Fuss catapulted the band to superstardom, selling over seven million copies worldwide, peaking at number seven on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and topping the charts in the UK.
It spawned four successful singles, which were both commercially and critically successful: Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I’ve Done and Smile Like You Mean It.
The album and its first three singles earned five Grammy Award nominations.
The 2003 single Mr Brightside reached number 10 in both the United States and the United Kingdom and is The Killers’ most successful single.
The Killers will be performing their back-to-back chart-topping Rebel Diamonds concert throughout much of their tour, but Sydney and Melbourne will get an exclusive second concert called Hot Fuss, which will be a dedicated performance to their hit debut album
The song recently achieved the rare Diamond status, having sold 10 million copies in the United States.
In 2010, Rolling Stone named Mr. Brightside the 48th greatest song of the 21st century, and in 2021, the song was ranked #378 on the magazine’s list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
The Killers are considered one of the biggest rock bands of the 21st century. They have sold over 28 million records worldwide, including 10.8 million in the US alone.
The band has been nominated for a Grammy Award seven times, has won two Brit Awards and has headlined Glastonbury and Madison Square Garden.
The Killers formed in 2001. After going through a number of bassists and drummers in their early years, both Mark Stoermer (bass, rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion) joined the band in 2002.
