“You are such a special f**king human being. I love you and I’ve got you forever, mate.’

He added, “Thank you for not only being an incredible musician and collaborator, but thank you for being my goddamn friend, man.”

After Laroi released his track Go ft. Juice WRLD, Justin Laroi sent a message complimenting him on his music.

From there, the two developed a friendship that eventually led to them collaborating on the song Unstable for Justin’s album Justice.

“That certainly shocked me. I was like, “Oh, s**t, this is crazy,” because I looked up to him when I was a kid, so yeah, that was crazy,” Laroi previously said.

The pair later collaborated on Laroi’s song Stay which topped charts around the world.

Laroi recently made history as the youngest solo artist to top the Australian album charts.

And now he’s on a mission to show the world his home country’s rap scene.

“I don’t think America has completely switched to how big [and] Australia’s music scene and culture is great, but I think it’s my job to shed light,” he told Triple J.

The Waterloo-born star said he’s long dreamed of putting Sydney’s rap scene on the map “like Drake did Toronto.”

A native of Canada, rapper Drake often gushes about his hometown of Toronto in his music and even flaunts a number of Toronto-themed tattoos.

Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Howard, added: ‘You have to do it so that people get it and really see it for what it really is; how amazing the scene really is.’

“That’s the most important thing – I don’t want people to overlook it or think because it’s my country, I really want people to recognize that in my opinion Australia is the f**king future of music.”
