The Kid Laroi announces new dates for his highly anticipated Australian tour after postponing shows…but not all fans are happy

Australian rapper The Kid Laroi has announced that he will be heading to Australia in November, after having to postpone his tour in February.

The 20-year-old ARIA winner will take his rescheduled The First Time tour dates to the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart, before closing the tour with a two-show performance at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.

The Without You hitmaker will bring American rapper Quavo and controversial Australian drill rap group OneFour to all shows except the Hobart and Gold Coast ones.

Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Howard, was originally scheduled to kick off his tour in February but had to postpone the dates due to “logistical issues beyond his control.”

Laroi said at the time about the postponement: ‘I have a very big surprise and a special guest, which we couldn’t finish in time for February, along with a lot of other logistical issues.’

“I want to give you the best show I can and make everyone at home proud,” he continued.

“I promise it will be worth it, and I’ll keep you posted on the special guests and everything else that’s to come.”

He had initially planned to make up the shows in October, but the announcement of a November show has left some fans out in the cold.

One fan expressed his disappointment about the new dates to X.

“The Kid Laroi said October, he said OCTOBER,” they wrote.

‘We booked our flights thinking there would be no problem as it is the end of November. I am pissed, irritated and devastated.’

“I don’t think I’ll ever see him live again because I missed the first time.”

Kid Laroi’s The First Time Tour will take place on November 11th on the Gold Coast, November 12th in Brisbane, November 16th in Sydney, November 20th in Perth, November 24th in Adelaide, November 27th in Hobart and November 20th and 30th in Melbourne.

Tickets for the general public will be available for purchase from Thursday 8 August at 1pm via Ticketek.

Meanwhile, Laroi recently started dating Canadian singer Tate McRae, 21, and the trip could prove to be a romantic getaway for the pair, as McRae is performing just three days before Laroi’s own show in Sydney.

Laroi recently confirmed his romance with McRae with a ‘declaration of love’, after months of speculation.

Their affair has been in the news since the beginning of this year, but last month the Australian rapper finally announced that he and the Canadian singer are in a relationship.

In July, the Stay hitmaker shared a passionate photo of the couple kissing on Instagram in honor of Tate’s birthday.

In the cheeky snap, Laroi wore a tight white shirt with a green bandana around his head as he leaned in to kiss his lover.

Tate, wearing a blue pinstripe top, leaned into the public display of affection and slicked back her brunette locks with sunglasses atop her head.

The announcement comes after Laroi gave a telling hint about his relationship with Tate in a TikTok video earlier this year.

The artist shared a clip on the social media platform in which he wore a shirt with Tate’s face on the front.

Earlier this year, Laroi also gave a tell-all radio interview after the couple sparked romance rumors when they were spotted in public getting intimate with each other.

Although he did not directly comment on the relationship, he told Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie on Nova 96.9 that he is ‘happier than ever’.

During a telephone conversation with the breakfast program presenters, Laroi was asked a very direct question by Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli.

“Is that Tate McRae jumping in the car with you? Or is she out today?” Wippa, 44, asked when they heard another person on Laroi’s end of the line.

Laroi simply dodged the pressing question and replied, “You guys are crazy.”
