The jaw-dropping nightclub inside Real Madrid’s £860m Bernabeu renovation… as Spanish giants race to get super luxury box ready for Taylor Swift

Real Madrid have unveiled stunning photos of the ‘crown jewel’ in their £860million renovation of the Santiago Bernabeu.

The super exclusive Skybar, which can accommodate 200 guests, is not only the most luxurious seat in the house on match days, but then transforms into a nightclub where you can dance the night away.

The 14-time European champions are in the middle of a major renovation of their iconic home, which will seat 85,000 and feature a 360-degree screen and retractable roof.

The new VIP area at the very top is expected to be operational by the end of April and certainly in time for Taylor Swift’s concert there on May 29.

Real have not yet announced prices for the new SkyBar, but tickets are likely to be among the highest in the sport, albeit with variations between a Champions League match and everyday LaLiga matches.

Those lucky enough to have a ticket enter through one of two entrances with neon lights meant – in the words of SkyBar designers Room 1804 – “to evoke Madrid’s emblematic skyscrapers.”

The area will be split into four areas, with the restaurant and nightclub on either side and a large bar in the middle. Liquor bottles are prominently displayed in the center of the room.

Tiered seating areas, including benches with drinks tables, then look out over the field.

The oval bar will be made of marble and bronze to generate ‘reflections’, creating the impression of a chic cocktail lounge.

The restaurant area and nightclub will feature huge LED screens covering the walls and ceiling, allowing all kinds of images to be projected depending on the atmosphere.

The artist’s impressions of Room 1804 show a constellation projected into the room. DJs are invited to play sets at events, so that people don’t go home at the final whistle.

The intention is that the Skybar will not only be used on match days, but can be rented out as business space for 500 guests and open in the evenings as a bar and restaurant.

It will also be part of the tour of the Bernabeu Stadium and serve as a stop for a soft drink or snack while enjoying panoramic views of the pitch and also of the city looking the other way.

On non-match days, the VIP suite is open to business guests and visitors to the stadium for a snack and a drink

With the area turning into a nightclub, there is absolutely no reason to leave once the final whistle blows

The bar will connect to the SkyWalk, an 800-meter-long terrace that wraps around the top floor of the stadium

Real Madrid has not yet released prices for the VIP section, but entry is unlikely to be cheap, especially for the big games

The renovated Bernabeu also features a SkyWalk, an 800-meter-long terrace that extends around the top level of the stadium.

The renovated Bernabeu officially reopened on September 2 last year and appropriately enough it was new star Jude Bellingham who secured a 2-1 victory with a last-minute goal in front of 66,000 fans.

An additional 20,000 will be housed once all the work is complete and Real will have a state-of-the-art home that will be the envy of world football.
