The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds And Snakes 2nd official trailer: Rachel Zegler and Tom Blyth strengthen their bond

The studio behind the highly anticipated film The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Serpents has released the second official trailer for the film.

Lionsgate Films shared the clip Wednesday morning.

The film stars Viola Davis, 58, Tom Blyth, 28. Hunter Schafer, 24, and Rachel Zegler, 22.

“I’m going to get you out of here,” Blyth’s character says to Zegler’s prisoner as they appear to strengthen their bond.

“I want my enemies to see a rainbow of destruction engulf the world,” Viola’s character says.

The film is based on Suzanne Collins’ 2020 novel of the same name and is a prequel to The Hunger Games as well as the fifth film in the franchise.

The story follows 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow years before he became president, as he fought for the integrity of his once-proud family that had fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol.

As the 10th edition of the Hunger Games approaches, he is tasked with mentoring Lucy Gray Baird, District 12’s tribute.

Snow and Baird must race against time to survive the Hunger Games and ultimately reveal who is a songbird and who is a snake.

EGOT winner Viola, who plays Dr. Volumnia Gaul, looked dramatically evil in a flowing red, white and beige long-sleeved dress with blood-red gloves.

His blue contact lenses gave him a menacing look and his hair was styled in a large afro cut with gray hair.

A snake was wrapped around her arm and she was staring at the camera with a glint in her eye.

Euphoria’s Schafer, meanwhile, looked softer in a pink satin jacket with pointed, padded shoulders and a belt that matched her slim waist.

The jacket had a peplum with a bit of accordion pleated white chiffon peeking out from the bottom of the jacket.

The model also wore a matching pink satin pencil skirt in her exclusive poster for her role as Tigris Snow.

Hunger Games: Davis plays Dr. Volumnia Gaul, who looked dramatically evil in a flowing red, white and beige long-sleeved dress with blood-red gloves.

The Snow White star looked like she was reprising her role as Queen of the Seven Dwarfs in her look.

She wore a dress with a corset-style bodice adorned with a vine with pink and blue flowers and a white shirt with long, puffy sleeves underneath.

The skirt of the dress looked like fire with its pink, yellow, and orange ombré pattern for Lucy Gray Baird’s character.

A poster was also revealed for the role of young Coriolanus Snow, played in the prequel by Tom Blyth, 28 years old.

The role was originated by Donald Sutherland in the series’ first film in 2012.

The Billy the Kid actor wore a white shirt with vertical stripes across the torso and a vest that featured a plunging, rounded neckline that gave it an old-world look.
