  • That total will now be eclipsed when they meet in a second title fight

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will set a new record for women’s boxing in their huge title fight on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s clash against Jake Paul.

The pair will face off in a grudge rematch match on Friday night, with Irish-born star Taylor putting her IBF, WBC and WBO super lightweight titles on the line.

Serrano will look to win one against her fierce opponent, two years after their first spectacular meeting, which ended with Taylor triumphing via split decision at Madison Square Garden.

The match was considered by many at the time to be the greatest female fight of all time, as Taylor and Serrano exchanged a series of vicious blows over ten rounds.

The legendary fight earned both fighters more than £1million and that figure is now expected to more than double for their second clash at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
