After letting fans go to war by choosing which of the two trailers they want to watch on YouTube, HBO is back with a new trailer House of the Dragon season 2 that promises to be pretty bad no matter who your favorite is. That’s the Westeros promise, baby!
While the first season jumped around in time, season 2 seems to settle into the long run. The new episodes appear to reflect the immediate fallout from last season, when Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) was installed as king in a coup against Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy), starting the Targaryen Civil War, also known as the Dance of the Dragons.
The new trailer shows both sides of the Worst Family Ever as they gather supporters and dragons, promising tons of sexy intrigue and backstabbing alongside big, brutal battles atop horse and dragon. Honestly, it looks pretty spectacular, and even knowing where this story ends, it looks like one hell of a ride to get there.
House of the Dragon season 2 premieres June 16 on HBO and Max.
