The high stakes reward Glen Powell handed out to lookalike contest winner

Glen Powell has revealed he has offered a cash prize to the family of the winner of his lookalike competition – a cameo in his next film.

Before the competition kicked off on Sunday in Austin, Texas, the 36-year-old Twistors actor shared a tongue-in-cheek video on social media announcing that he would be contributing the special reward.

He also added that he wished he could have attended the match in person, but that wasn’t possible as he was abroad for a shoot.

Glen said in the video: “Welcome to the Justin Hartley lookalike contest.

“In all seriousness, I have gathered you here today for an important mission. I want to commit a robbery, and we don’t need masks because we all have the same face.

‘It’s the perfect crime! They can’t get us all because we are one: a criminal Glenterprise.’

Lookalike competitions have swept the world in recent weeks following the success of the Timothee Chalamet event last month.

This weekend alone, a Heath Ledger doppelgänger was crowned in Sydney, Australia.

Last week, Paul Mescal was left speechless after meeting the winner of his lookalike competition via video call.

The Gladiator actor, 28, was appearing on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show when the presenter surprised him by introducing him to his look-alike from the match, which took place in Dublin earlier this month.

When Jack Wall O’Reilly, now known as “Earbud Paul,” came on the phone, Paul was shocked as he exclaimed, “These are bananas.”

Speaking to Jack, Paul joked: ‘I actually saw the picture, I didn’t know it was happening until it was over and I think you captured the spirit of me really well.’

His lookalike then replied, “Thank you so much. I assumed you were home with your family resting after the long press tour.”
