Isla Fisher has announced the death of her beloved father Brian.
The Australian actress, 46, shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram page on Sunday.

‘How lucky I am to have had you as my father. You were hilarious, positive and my best friend. No matter what was going on in my life, you always asked me if I was having fun.’
Isla continued, “I know this pain will get worse as the days between when I last saw you go by and that’s really scary.”

Isla is said to be very close to her family and has described her upbringing in Perth, Australia as “great”.
He was born in Oman but grew up in Perth, before moving back to Australia with his family.
She and her husband Sacha Baron Cohen met at a party in Sydney in 2002 and married eight years later.

“This is my dad, Poppa Fish,” he wrote alongside a black and white photo on his Instagram account.
“I love him, he’s the best and I’m so grateful to have him in my life,” she gushed.
