The grim realities of removing lip filler/botox/BBLs, according to experts
Former reality star Angela White, known as Blac Chyna to her millions of fans, is getting rid of many of the cosmetic procedures she’s received throughout her life in what’s described as a ‘makeunder’.
The former stripper, who is famous for her exaggerated physique, removed silicone implants on her buttocks and fake breasts and dissolved lip and face fillers.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, the reality star called having cosmetic work “dangerous” and said she would not recommend others undergo the same procedures.
While plastic surgery is known to carry health risks, doctors and former patients warn that undoing procedures can also cause harm. such as scarring, infection, skin bruising, blood clots, and fluid buildup under the skin.

Model Chrissy Teigen is among a host of famous celebrities who have had their implants removed in recent years.
He warned on his Instagram in 2020 that the procedure was accompanied by intense scarring.
YouTuber Evangelina Petrakis documented her journey trying to get rid of her lip fillers, where she revealed that she needed multiple appointments and suffered intense bruising while trying to dissolve her full lips.
Blac Chyna revealed her plans to have her implants removed last week, saying she was “changing her life and changing her ways.”
The model, who is rumored to have earned over $240 million from her X-rated OnlyFans account in 2021, received butt and breast augmentation and lip fillers ahead of her rise to fame.
She has received four breast augmentations, silicone injections, lip and facial fillers, and liposuction throughout her life.
Now that she wants to undo the cosmetic changes, she’s undoing the procedures in what she describes as going from ‘Blac Chyna’ to ‘Angela White’.
Earlier this week, Blac Chyna took to Instagram to reveal that she had dissolved fillers on her cheeks, jawline, and lips.
While the procedures carry substantial and well-publicized risks, removing them is also not without risk.
Lip and face filler dissolves in a procedure with potential drawbacks. Doctors will usually use hyaluronidase to dissolve the lips.
The chemical is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid in the body. The vast majority of lip fillers are a synthetic version of hyaluronic.
It also occurs naturally in the skin, eyes, and joints of the body, serving as a shock absorber and lubricant for the body.
There is a risk that when a person gets the injections, they get too much hyaluronidase and it starts to destroy some of their body’s natural hyaluronic acid.
This can lead to wrinkles, swelling, and joint pain.
Ms. Petrakis documented her lip filler removal process in a video she posted to her YouTube channel last June.
The social media influencer decided to remove her lip fillers last year and was surprised at how long and arduous the process was.
After her first injection of the removal serum, she suffered from severe lip swelling and her fillers had not yet dissolved.
He returned shortly after for a second shot. Later, Ms. Petrakis experienced intense bruising on the inside of her lip.
Finally, the third injection of hyaluronidase was enough to return her lips to normal. She described the process as requiring a lot of hard work and a lot of money.
Prices for each shot can run anywhere from $100 to $2,000, and it’s unclear how much the YouTuber ended up paying.
Other potential drawbacks include severe pain and skin sensitivity. However, a person’s side effects rarely last more than a week.

Ms. White also had her breast implants removed, which in itself has become a trend among some of Hollywood’s elite.
Ms. Teigen teams up with actress Ashley Tisdale and R&B singer Kehlani to undo the procedure.
The model said her “surgery was perfect” when her silicone implants were removed in May 2020, but she also suffered significant pain and scarring in the days that followed.
She was rumored to have been a bra size 34C before the removal.
Ms. Teigen shared photos of her intensely scarred breasts with her Instagram followers.
While Ms. Teigen did not suffer from any serious symptoms, doctors caution that those who opt for breast implant removal may face some risks.
Scars and loose skin left behind are two common problems. Improperly performed procedures can also leave breasts asymmetrical.
In a more severe case, a person could get an infection at the site of the cut used to remove the implants.
Life-threatening clotting, known as deep vein thrombosis, is also possible. These clots usually start in the legs and travel to the lungs, where they prevent a person from breathing and often lead to death.
Clotting within organs or other body tissues, called a hematoma, is also a potential risk.
This clotting usually occurs after surgery of any kind, as damaged tissue, skin collagen, and other particles escape into the bloodstream and clog veins.
It is common for veins to be damaged during an operation, restricting blood flow and causing clots to form.

The transaction price usually ranges from $3,000 to $7,000 in the US.
Brazilian butt lifts, better known as BBLs, and silicone butt injections are also common procedures that a person may want to get rid of.
Both come with their own risks, and BBLs are considered to be among the deadliest cosmetic surgeries a person can receive.
About one in 3,000 patients will die from complications of the surgery. Problems include fat embolism and infections.
Whether a person receives silicone or a BBL, which implants fat from another part of their body into their hips, the removal process is similar.
Undoing these procedures requires liposuction, where surgeons use a vacuum-like device to remove fat from the body.
It is a typical procedure with relatively low risks, but some people occasionally experience problems.
One of the most common complications is an internal puncture, where the cannula, the device at the end of the vacuum that sucks out the fat, penetrates too far into the body and cuts the skin or an internal organ.
This can lead to life-threatening bleeding.
A fat embolism can also occur, in which a small amount of fat breaks away from the rest of the body and becomes trapped in a blood vessel or in the lungs.
Removing so much fat from the body also deprives it of fluids, since fat is rich in fluids. This can lead to a fluid imbalance that damages heart and kidney function.
There is also the risk of infection, swelling, numbness, and pain associated with the condition.
