Like man, like woman! The mirror images of the Parisian revelry were completed when Hunter Woodhall won the 400-meter dash at the Paralympics, echoing Tara Davis-Woodhall’s gold medal in the long jump at last month’s Olympics.
The couple’s non-participants sat in nearly identical positions at the Stade de France and watched their partner race.
After one of the athletes delivered his or her winning performance, he or she sprinted to the front row of seats to find his or her favorite.
Over the past month, they’ve shared two huge, long hugs, taking turns as pillars of support and overjoyed representatives of Team USA.
David-Woodhall won the women’s long jump on August 8 with a best time of 7.10 metres, while her husband won the 400-metre sprint on Friday in 46.36 seconds.

The Parisian Olympian and Paralympian have been a couple since they were in high school
Woodhall is now a five-time Paralympic medallist and has already won a bronze medal in Paris in the mixed 4x100m relay.
The 400m sprint is Woodhall’s first gold medal. Eight years ago he won a silver and a bronze medal in Rio, and in Tokyo he added a bronze medal.
Davis-Woodhall’s victory in the long jump is her only Olympic medal, having finished sixth in the event in Tokyo.
The duo met at a high school track meet and played for three Southeastern Conference athletic programs before turning pro: Arkansas, Texas and Georgia.
They married in October 2022 and have been pursuing their Olympic dream in Paris ever since.
Now the couple will have some time to relax before they set their long-term goals for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
