Giving everything you got! The Giants enlist Warriors star Steph Curry to help them lure free agent Aaron Judge to San Francisco… while the American League MVP weighs his options

The biggest name in the baseball free market has yet to give a sign of where it’s headed. But the team he cheered for as a kid is doing everything they can to bring him home.

Free agent Aaron Judge goes through his free agency meetings with the San Francisco Giants – who rolled out the red carpet to convince him to return to Northern California.

As part of that effort, they enlisted the help of the biggest sports star in the Bay Area – Golden State Warriors starter Stephen Curry.

According to NBC Sports Bay Area, Judge connected with Curry’s people in hopes that the two superstar athletes could speak.

That was just part of a larger effort to convince Judge to go to San Francisco – ditching the New York Yankees in the process.

In addition to the team’s efforts, current members of the Giants roster attempted to lure Judge to the Bay Area. Outfielder Joc Pederson fantasized about Judge joining them when he posted a photo of Judge in a Giants jersey on his Instagram account.

By all indications, Judge is not yet close to making a decision on his next destination. It is speculated that he could take a trip to Los Angeles to meet the Dodgers. Speaking about the most important issue for him in this process, he said he needs to be on a team “that is committed to winning.”

“I’m looking forward to getting the free-agent process going,” Judge said last week after winning the AL MVP Award.

“I don’t know how fast or slow it goes. There are teams we’ve talked to. For me, if we’re going to build a winning team, if I can get my stuff out of the way, that’s always an advantage. Once I’m in it, it can be fast or slow. You never really know.’

In addition to the two California-based teams, the Yankees have made a bid in an effort to keep Judge in pinstripes as long as he plays baseball.

They would have to posit a hefty sum – believing that Judge is looking for a payday of more than $300 million. Earlier this year, Judge rejected a seven-year $213 million offer from the Yankees.

Judge is from the town of Linden, CA – close to the town of Stockton and about 90 miles from Oracle Park on the west side of San Francisco Bay.

If he signs with the Giants, it won’t be Judge’s first Northern California team. He was selected in the 31st round of the 2010 MLB draft by the Oakland Athletics, but Judge chose to attend college instead.
