The full SteamWorld library, including SteamWorld Heist 2, is available for purchase at GOG

The SteamWorld series is one of my favorites in gaming today, a loosely connected collection of titles that each take a popular genre and put their own spin on it. Thunderful has a publisher sales at GOGand the main deal here is SteamWorld Heist 2which debuted last month and available at GOG for $20.99 (was $29.99).

SteamWorld Heist 2 is an excellent 2D turn-based tactics game that is heavily inspired by XCOM — in our review we called it a “multi-classing masterpiece”, and having put in a little over 25 hours myself, I wholeheartedly agree. No knowledge of the previous game or other SteamWorld titles is required to enjoy SteamWorld Robbery 2… But they are all excellent and, fortunately, also available here with even higher discounts:
