The Full Monty cast: 26 years after the boys first stripped off, who stars in the new 2023 series?

More than two decades have passed since the unlikely group of Sheffield steelworkers stripped naked because of unemployment.

Peter Cattaneo’s 1997 comedy caused quite a stir at the time, winning an Oscar for best original musical or comedy.

Now the film maintains its cult classic status and is admired for its candid and humorous approach to some of society’s pitfalls.

Years later, we prepare to cheer the men on again as a major streaming service announces the date for the Full Monty Series and welcomes a whole new generation to the movie.

The new eight-part sequel will stream on Disney+ on June 14, and with the help of the original cast, the series will explore the same working-class brothers 25 years later.

Set in the same post-industrial city, the much-anticipated comeback will “explore society’s crumbling health, education and employment sectors,” according to the synopsis.

But will all the original cast return? Who will we be able to see in the new series and who didn’t make the cut? Read on to find out who’s who in the revamped show.
