Lauryn Hill treated her fans to an unexpected treat during her performance at the Roots Picnic music festival in Philadelphia on Saturday.
The singer, 48, who has complained about oppression of artists in the music industry, was joined on her set by her fellow Fugees bandmates Wyclef Jean, 53, and Pras, 50.
The surprise performance thrilled audiences, but it could also be their last – at least for quite some time – as Pras faces up to 20 years in prison after being convicted of 10 counts, including charges of conspiracy, witness tampering and failure to testify. register as a Chinese agent.

Pras kept his appearance simple, wearing worn jeans, a gray sweatshirt, and an orange, white, and gray puffy cardigan.
The singer’s head was shaved and he sported a neatly trimmed beard.
Festival organizer Questlove was delighted to see the trio reunite and posted a lengthy essay on Instagram titled ‘What A Night’.
The famed music producer began by writing a history lesson about his friends of three decades: “In 1993, an unknown band called the Fugees (at the request of the record label where I interned) opened @ruffhouse records, for us at #TheTrocadero in Philadelphia — this was one of their first gigs since signing with a major label.’
“They were there to help us celebrate our signing to @geffernrecords,” he continued, “their #BluntedonReality was released in the early ’93s.”
“Now 30 years later & now look at us.”
