Her state has a large Hispanic population, a demographic that Biden has struggled to convince.

Even in Democratic strongholds like New York and Oregon, there are fears that Biden’s majority is shrinking, sources told the NYT.

The campaign received a financial boost from Elon Musk, who recently endorsed Trump with a donation of an undisclosed amount.
Trump has also previously boasted about challenging in true blue states like New Jersey. But this has been dismissed as a “firestorm” by Biden’s team.
“This election will be decided by a subset of voters in a limited number of battleground states, but only the Biden-Harris campaign is investing to reach and persuade those voters, with more than 200 offices and 1,200 staffers,” Biden campaign director Dan Kanninen said in a statement.

This comes amid predictions that Biden could also lose three key swing states due to the negative reactions to his repeated gaffes.

A bipartisan poll in the swing state of Wisconsin showed Trump leading Biden by five percentage points after the June 27 debate.

However, he is determined to run despite calls from two dozen Democrats to withdraw.
Several polls show that Biden’s chances have not been too badly damaged by his recent gaffes, including this week’s reference to Ukrainian President Zelensky as Putin.
Research from NPR and Marist College shows that Biden and Trump are nearly evenly matched.
