The five sneaky ways to tell if someone is single without asking them

In the age of modern dating, it is often difficult to find out if someone is single, casually dating or in a committed relationship.

But there are five sneaky ways to find out if someone is single without having to ask, “Are you single?”

Kyle and Jackie O producer Jaimee “Mayo” Blazquez, who is married, explained the methods on air this week.

She tested the ‘tricks’ on five of her male colleagues in front of radio host Jackie ‘O’ Hendersonwho is single and dating.

The first method involves asking the person where they spent their last vacation. If they have a partner, they usually list it here.

This question worked: the man said his last vacation was in Canada and he offered to go with his ‘partner’ unsolicited.

The second tip is to ask if someone bites their nails.

“So, of course, they raise their hands so you can see if they have a ring,” Mayo said.

However, this method did not go according to plan in the studio, as when Jackie asked the second man if he bites his nails, he refused to show his hands.

Finally she persuaded him to show them, and saw that he had no ring.

The third method involves asking them “something about dating in general” – for example, asking them “what time is too late to show up on a date.”

They tried this line on another male KIIS FM employee, who said, ‘Oh, jeez. I’d say about 15 minutes.’

Jackie then casually asked when his last date was, and he confirmed he was single and dating by replying, “Last date was last week.”

The fourth trick is to “name a dating app.” This usually causes a person who isn’t available to say something like, “No, I don’t do the apps.” I’m in a relationship.’

When Jackie posed this question to a co-worker named Michael, he volunteered that he doesn’t use apps because he’s “freshly” single.

The fifth method doesn’t really qualify as sneaky: you just ask the person if he or she is seeing someone.

‘Are you single?’ Jackie asked another KIIS FM employee, to which he replied, “Yes!”

It comes after Jackie revealed on Wednesday that she was finally back in the dating game, nearly five years after announcing her split from ex-husband Lee in 2018.

It comes after Jackie revealed on Wednesday that she was finally back in the dating game, nearly five years after announcing her split from ex-husband Lee in 2018.

The radio host revealed that she had joined dating app Hinge.

She told Kyle that the previous night she had been chatting with “three or four” different men she’d matched with.

While her KIIS FM colleagues were thrilled for her, Kyle was shocked by a confession from the usually straight-laced Jackie.

When Kyle warned her about “f**k boys,” Jackie told him not to worry because she wasn’t necessarily looking for a “long-term relationship or anything like that.”

‘What slutty! That’s horrible. What happened to her?’ gasped Kyle.

Jackie replied, “I’m not like, ‘Oh, my God, I’ve got to find the one.’ No. I just want to have a little fun and go on a few dates.”

Despite being open to a casual fling, she insisted she wouldn’t “fall for a guy” on the first date. She hasn’t sent any nude photos either.

Jackie further revealed that she was open to a relationship with a younger man and set her age range on Hinge from 35 to 55.

Meanwhile, her experience with Hinge hasn’t been without its hurdles, as some of the men she matched with didn’t believe she was the real Jackie O.
