The first update of Finale Season 2 introduces card selection in private matches and a ban progression system

The first patch for The finale season two has been released, introducing a new private match feature while making improvements to the latest game mode.

Embark Studios has the patch notes which details version 2.1.0 in its entirety, with some of the most notable features surrounding the game’s maps, a brand new ban progression with a three-strike system, as well as the game’s newest mode: Powershift.

More specifically, the update brings a new improvement to private matches in the form of map selection, allowing players to battle to victory in the arena they like.

Regarding Powershift, Embark says it plans to “add new maps to this mode so you can drive the platform to its destination in a completely new environment,” but hasn’t specified when this update will come.

Elsewhere, the game mode has seen a few changes, including a fix for bouncy castles clipping around the streets on low, medium and high settings, another jump has been added outside the construction spawn area and a new short zipline has been added. added to the closed alley next to the cathedral “to make the passage smoother.”

Patch 2.1.0 isn’t a major technical update, so don’t expect huge changes to weapons or gadgets. The only major changes are the SA1216, which has a lower fire rate and lower damage per pellet, and Glitch Grenades and Glitch Traps. Both now activate on impact when hitting mesh shields and dome shields, but the former will bounce back when landing on other surfaces. You can read the full patch notes below.
