The fashion and beauty events of the week preparing for the summer

>

When it comes to style, we are all inspired by what we see; be it a well-dressed celebrity, a mind-blowing runway presentation, or even a fashionable passerby.

As fashion editors, we are moved by all of the above, and then some. We are exposed to under the radar labels; we see first-hand the collections months before they hit the stores; we attend VIP events; we connect with brands with stylish yet cheap deals and buy a lot.

To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and hottest. We hope this Friday series serves as a buying guide and inspiration point for everyone.

This week’s edition focuses on the hottest events happening in fashion and beauty to get us ready for summer.

On March 2, Beautycounter, the pioneer of the clean beauty movement, celebrated the achievements of a decade by hosting an industry forum that discussed what’s next in clean beauty.

The event was held at NeueHouse Hollywood and Presented by Ashley Greene.

Notable attendees including Jeannie Mai, Candice King, Kara Del Toro, Helen Owen, Gizele Oliveira, and Quigley Goode were there to show their support.

“Clean beauty is important to me because what you put on your skin can directly affect your health,” said Ashley Greene.

“Unfortunately, health and beauty standards have traditionally been incredibly low, and you really have to advocate for your own health and well-being.

“That’s why I’ve been such a big fan of Beautycounter – they truly care about the consumer and the planet and have already created such powerful change as a company.”

The actress, whose favorite Beautycounter product is the Overnight Resurfacing Peel, looked professional in a lightweight tan bodysuit with a black underlay.

“I only have one face and it’s nice to know that I can have fun with experimental makeup while treating my skin in the healthiest way possible,” said The Vampire Diaries actress Candice King.

Jeannie Mai of The Real added: ‘Clean beauty is the most responsible step you can take in your self-care regimen. Whatever you put on your skin seeps into your pores and also affects your health and well-being’
