FA confirm NO action will be taken against linesman Constantine Hatzidakis for his ‘elbow’ on Andy Robertson as he insists ‘I didn’t mean to make any contact when I pulled my arm away’ after apologizing to the Liverpool star

The FA will take no further action against the official who ‘elbowed’ Liverpool’s Andy Robertson during their draw with Arsenal last weekend.

Constantine Hatzidakis has apologized to the Scot after raising his arm to Robertson just before half-time on Sunday.

“We have thoroughly reviewed all evidence relating to the recent incident at Anfield involving the Liverpool defender and match official and will take no further action,” the FA said in a statement.

“Our extensive process involved reviewing detailed statements from Liverpool and PGMOL, as well as multiple angles of video footage, covering both the incident and surrounding circumstances.”

Hatzidakis said he looks forward to playing games again, and his statement read: “I have discussed the matter directly with Andy Robertson in an open and positive conversation.
