A highly desirable bachelor no more! The godfather of Prince George’s billionaire, the Duke of Westminster, announces engagement to girlfriend Olivia Henson
Prince George’s godfather, billionaire aristocrat the Duke of Westminster, has announced his engagement to his girlfriend of two years.
Hugh Grosvenor, 32, – who is believed to own more land than the King – proposed to Olivia Henson at his family seat, Eaton Hall in Cheshire.
The socialite, who inherited his title and estate from his father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, the sixth Duke of Westminster, released a statement following his death in 2016 with the happy news, saying: ‘The Duke of Westminster and Miss Olivia Henson are delighted to announce that they are engaged to be married.
The couple, who have been together for two years, recently got engaged at the home of the Duke’s family at Eaton Hall in Cheshire.

“Members of both their families are delighted with the news.
Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, is both the chairman of Grosvenor and the chairman of the Westminster Foundation. Miss Henson works for Belazu, a B-Corp certified food company based in London.’
The Duke’s father, Gerald Grosvenor, suffered a sudden heart attack while walking in the countryside and died in 2016 at the age of 64.
After his father’s death, the duke succeeded to the dukedom and became an instant billionaire. As 7th Duke of Westminster, he inherited a fortune of £9.3 billion.
He also inherited 300 acres in London’s Mayfair and Belgravia—two of the most expensive areas in the world—as well as estates in Oxford, Scotland, and properties around the world—including the 10,872-acre family estate at Eaton Hall in Cheshire.
Hugh Grosvenor, once called Britain’s most eligible bachelor, was educated at £6,000-a-school Ellesmere College in Shropshire and inherited the dukedom after his father’s death in 2016.

The Duke is good friends with the Prince and Princess of Wales and is Prince George’s youngest godfather. He previously represented the country at Olympic clay pigeon shooting competitions both internationally and in the UK.
Grosvenor was previously in a relationship with real estate and recruitment consultant Harriet Tomlinson, but the couple, who met on £6,000 per school year at Ellesmere College in Shropshire, split in 2020.
The Duke also supports the rehabilitation of wounded or injured members of the armed forces and donated £2.5 million to the health service when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, but said he was so ‘humbled’ by the work of doctors and nurses that he wanted to give another £10 million.
