An abandoned baby, believed to have been left by her mother to be eaten by wild animals, was reportedly discovered by a stray dog ​​and taken to safety instead.

The animal is said to have found the baby girl in a garage bag at the town hall in the northern city of Tripoli in Lebanon on Wednesday.

The dog then started dragging the bag with the newborn in it and a passerby heard a howling sound coming from it, The national reports.

The baby was taken to Islamic Hospital before being transferred to Tripoli Government Hospital.

Her condition was described as serious but stable, with people describing her survival as a “miracle.”
