The disgusting reason why this doctor wants you to tie your hair up when you go to the toilet

A doctor claims you should always tie your hair up when you go to the bathroom – and her reason has left thousands of people ‘exhausted’.

Dr. Daria Sadovskaya, a nephrologist (kidney expert), claims that going to the toilet with long loose hair can increase the chance of pimples due to the bacteria in the stool.

“It can cause breakouts and irritation that usually occur on the forehead,” she said in a TikTok video.

“When you poop, all the bacteria first spread from the stool to the bathroom and to your hair. If your hair is loose, it rubs against the skin on your face and transfers all the germs to your face.”

The lesser-known knowledge “unleashed a new fear” among others who had “no idea” about the health problem.

Pimples form when skin pores become clogged with oil, bacteria, dead skin cells, and dirt. Therefore, daily cleansing is essential to prevent breakouts.

Dr. Sadovskaya’s claims left thousands of people in disbelief.

“Can I live?” one wrote, the other said, “This is getting out of hand.”

“Girl, I have medium length hair, how do I put it up,” asked a third.

However, some dermatologists have dismissed her perspective, saying it’s low risk.

Dr. Joshua Zeichner, an associate professor of dermatology, is one of them.

“Theoretically, if you sit on the toilet for an extended period of time and rub greasy hair on your face…it can contribute to clogged pores,” he said. Huff Post.

“There’s no greater risk for this, though, whether you’re sitting on the toilet or on the couch watching TV with your hair down and over your face.”

In addition to this bathroom habit, Dr. Sadovskaya also recommended never using a loofah, not keeping a razor in the bathroom, and not brushing your teeth after applying skin care.

Foliage ash is widely known as a breeding ground for bacteria and razor clams should be stored in a dry place to prevent rusting.

You should also brush your teeth before applying skincare to avoid bacteria lurking on your face.
