The diet and fitness secrets behind Brittany Hockley’s incredible bikini body — and the heartbreaking health battle that led the former Bachelor star to take control of her well-being
Brittany Hockley caused quite a stir this weekend when she revealed her incredible bikini body while on holiday with her football star boyfriend Ben Siegrist.
The former Bachelor star, 36, turned heads in skimpy swimwear that left little to the imagination.
Now fans are wondering how the Life Uncut presenter achieved her enviable physique.
‘I have let myself down in recent years. But what I always make time for is exercising, that is my self-care,” she said earlier Mommy.
Brittany went on to say that she walks every day and “puts in some serious miles” to tire out her Australian Shepherd, Delilah.

The podcaster also talked about diet tips – and that’s not what people would expect.
‘Food is life! I am strong, fit and healthy and I eat what I want, in moderation, because life is about balance,” she wrote on Instagram in 2019.
‘I love what my body can do. It’s so good for my mental health, it gives me energy and I don’t feel like myself if I haven’t at least gone outside for a walk.’

Fans on social media have taken notice of Brittany’s enviable physique
The 36-year-old’s perfectly toned derriere has earned her comparisons to the Kardashians
She said she is “older, rounder and stronger” and has decided to put her personal health and happiness above all the fad diets and exercise.
Instead, Brittany said she focuses on walking a lot and maintaining a balanced diet, rather than trying to aim for a specific body type.
Earlier this year, she revealed to her Instagram followers that most of her secrets include a consistent gym routine, a balanced diet, and the occasional indulgence.
‘We’re all about balance. A few treats here and there never hurt anyone. It’s about making the choices that make you feel good, both inside and out,” she explained.

Brittany’s relaxed lifestyle is a far cry from the strict diet and exercise routine she followed after coming second on The Bachelor in 2018.
In an interview with Body+Soul in August, after filming the reality series, she said that intermittent fasting is the secret to her fit body.
She then looked noticeably slimmer and added: ‘My eating window was 10.30pm to 6.30pm most days. I do this five days a week because I like to go out for brekky at the weekend.”
She also revealed at the time that she hit the gym “most days” and alternated between HIIT workouts, F45 training and weights.

The star has admitted that she once had an unhealthy and life-threatening relationship with food
Just a year later, the former reality TV star opened up about her struggles with body image and eating disorders.
She told fans on Instagram that she once had an unhealthy and life-threatening relationship with food.
Brittany revealed that the situation once got so bad that she had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital.
‘You know, I’ve always been into sports and fitness. Ever since I could walk, I’ve played all kinds of sports and at quite a high level (I was a real tomboy, to be honest),” she began.

Brittany previously followed intermittent fasting, but is said to be relaxing the rules over the weekend
‘I felt that skinny meant healthy and that it was the only way to be ‘attractive’. I barely ate anything and worked out every day,” she said of her younger years
‘But I haven’t always been healthy and had a good relationship with food. When I was a teenager, I was afraid of eating something bad.”
Brittany admitted that she had a distorted view of what was considered healthy and attractive, which culminated in her obsession with food and exercise.
‘I felt that skinny meant healthy and that it was the only way to be ‘attractive’. I barely ate anything and worked out every day,” she admitted.
‘If I ate something ‘bad’ I would literally put on my sweatpants and go for a run. When we stopped at McDonald’s at school camp, I always got an apple. I always lied to my parents about having dinner at a friend’s house.’
Brittany’s relaxed and healthy lifestyle is in stark contrast to the strict diet and exercise routine she followed after coming second on The Bachelor in 2018
The brunette focuses on her mental health as much as her physical health
She said the turning point only came after she collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital.
“I did this until one day I had a seizure in front of my sister and woke up in the hospital,” she continued.
‘Afterwards Dad drove me home and we stopped at a hamburger shop where he bought me a burger and fries and told me I was so anemic that he wanted to look at me and make sure I ate it. (Thanks dad – I love you) I did too. And I loved it.’
Brittany revealed that she has since developed a much healthier and more balanced attitude to food and exercise.
