The Dead Space remake will feature a mysterious alternative ending
>
The Dead Space remake’s trophy list has been published, revealing that it will feature an alternate ending not seen in the original game.
Published by Real trophies (opens in new tab) (through The gamer (opens in new tab)), the Dead Space remake’s trophy list includes an achievement called ‘Reunion’, which is rewarded for those who “see the alternate ending on any difficulty”.
It’s unclear what this alternate ending entails (thankfully) and developer EA Motive hasn’t confirmed that there is indeed more than one ending, but I’m certainly intrigued to see what the studio has in store for the finale of Isaac Clarke’s journey through the ishimura.
It’ll also be interesting to see if this alternate ending changes the canon of the franchise in any way, as major changes could potentially have a longer tail if EA Motive decides to remake Dead Space 2 and 3 – although the developer doesn’t did. has indicated that it has plans for this.
Leakage galore
Dead Space remake leaks are rife ahead of the game’s January 27 release. Lengthy gameplay videos have been shared online revealing some of the remake’s biggest surprises. EA removed these videos, but not before their content spread all over the web.
I personally haven’t watched them as I’m currently going through the original Dead Space for the first time and I don’t want to screw it up. But if you want to avoid specific spoilers, I recommend being wary on social media. Just go in a hibernation pod until release day.
