The Daredevil: Born Again footage appears to confirm the return of two popular Marvel Netflix characters
Amid rumors of their inclusion in Daredevil: Born Againit looks like Karen and Foggy are switching from Netflix Daredevil series to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
After a January 12 Jeff Sneider Report that the characters will return, said eagle-eyed Marvel fan and X/Twitter user WingFinn48 (thanks DiscussFilm before the catch), saw that Daredevil‘s Disney Plus show looks to bring back Matt Murdock’s best friends and closest allies as part of the cast.
Unfortunately, there are no official images of Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, who played Karen Page and Foggy Nelson in the Netflix series Daredevil series, which appears on the set in New York. However, WingFinn48, who says the Marvel Phase 5 show is being filmed on their street, snapped an intriguing photo that seemingly confirms they will have a role in Daredevil: Born Again.

It’s the third of WingFinn48’s four photos that strongly hint at the couple’s return. The “Nelson, Murdock & Page” sign – the name of the trio’s law firm, which they partnered with in 2014 Daredevil‘s season 3 finale – is a dead giveaway. After all, why would Marvel include the group’s headquarters if it wasn’t planning on bringing Woll and Henson into the group and reuniting Matt (and, by proxy, Marvel fans) with them?
If the duo makes the jump from one of Netflix’s top shows to the MCU, they will join Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio in the cast, with the pair already transitioning from the Netflix TV show to Marvel’s cinematic juggernaut . Cox and D’Onofrio will reprise their roles as Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, respectively, having already done so in other MCU projects. Cox made cameos Spider-Man: No way home, She-Hulk: LawyerAnd Echo. Meanwhile, D’Onofrio starred in Hawkeye before starring alongside Alaqua Cox Echo.
I’ve reached out to Marvel and Disney for official comment on Page and Henson’s possible involvement Rebornand I will update this article if I hear back.
A second chance at success in the MCU
If Page and Henson return as Karen and Foggy, it will be a boost for Marvel fans, and another great example of the MCU’s leadership team making crowd-pleasing changes Daredevil: Born Again.
Originally it looked like that Daredevil‘s Disney Plus series would not be a direct sequel to the popular Netflix show. Instead, Marvel seemed to choose elements from that show to incorporate Reborn, which would make things murky from a canonicity perspective. Why would certain aspects of Netflix do that too? Daredevil be carried over into the MCU, like Cox and D’Onofrio playing the same characters, but key individuals like Karen and Foggy, or even unresolved plot points from that show, remain in the archives?
Coincidentally, that scattergun approach yielded no results. In October 2023, Daredevil: Born Again was reportedly in serious trouble when Marvel wanted to rework large parts of the show. According to industry insiders, studio executives were unhappy with the series’ outcome and subsequently opted to reshape major aspects of the story, action sequences and tonality.
The result? A new head writer and directors were hired to renew my faith Daredevil: Born Again. Dario Scardapane, who wrote some of the best episodes of Daredevil spinoff The punisherplus Moon Knight And Loki season 2 filmmakers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are now in charge of the show’s overall vision – and they’ve already made sweeping changes that will connect the band Reborn to his Netflix cousin.
Such changes reportedly include more intense and gruesome fight scenes, the likely appearances of Karen and Foggy, and even the return of John Bernthal’s Punisher for a supporting role. Earlier this week, Deadline also broke the news that Wilson is Bethel’s Daredevil season 3 villain Bullseye returns for a brief storyline. Speculation continues about this Reborn will consist of 13 episodes (the same number that each Netflix season had) instead of the previously announced 18.
So all signs point to Marvel making significant progress to revive Netflix Daredevil in all but name. Considering how great that show was, it’s music to the ears of me and many fans. Here’s hoping we get even more buzz-inducing Daredevil news in the coming weeks, and ahead of its likely Disney Plus debut in 2025.
