Taylor Swift has given the NFL and – especially – the Kansas City Chiefs a big boost over the past month… but her fans are convinced that her absence from Sunday’s game will have a negative effect on her new ‘boyfriend’ Travis Kelce had.
The league’s popularity soared after the pop star attended two games in a row to watch Chiefs tight end Kelce, but she ended her streak this week after not showing up in Minnesota for the win over the Vikings.
Worryingly, Kelce then suffered a non-contact injury during the game and was stomped off the field – and Taylor’s supporters are convinced it happened because she wasn’t there.
In what is now being called ‘The Curse of Taylor Swift,’ fans are worried that her absence could negatively affect Travis’ performances going forward as the Kansas City Chiefs chase back-to-back Super Bowls.
In the game against the Vikings, the superstar tight end finally returned to the field and even scored a touchdown, but fans were left worried after he slipped and appeared to injure his right ankle during the second quarter.

Fans joked that Kelce was cursed by Taylor’s failure to show up Sunday in Minnesota
After going to the locker room and being listed as questionable to return, Kelce took his place back on the field in the third quarter.
He then went on to score a touchdown in the game, catching a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to extend the Chiefs’ lead on the night.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s fans also took it into their own hands to reignite the age-old grass vs. turf debate, claiming that Kelce’s injury occurred because of the artificial surface in Minnesota.

‘She finally has a man who shows her love back and he got hurt on KUNSGAS?
‘This is so wrong. We can fix it. Nothing more. TURF! @NFL @taylornation13’
