She was effortlessly regal in her award-winning role as the late queen in Netflix’s The Crown. But you could argue that Claire Foy’s latest outing lacks the same sheen.
As she walked through the London sunshine with her boyfriend, singer-songwriter Charlie Cunningham, last week, the British actress looked a lot more casual – despite wearing (almost) royal blue.
Wearing a crumpled, cornflower-colored linen shirt with what appeared to be striped pajama bottoms, they were seen taking a leisurely stroll with Claire’s excited two-year-old cavapoo.
The couple, both 40, were first spotted together in July last year. It is the actress’s first public relationship since her 2018 split from The History Boys actor Stephen Campbell Moore, the father of her daughter Ivy Rose.

Claire, who recently starred opposite Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal and Jamie Bell in the romantic fantasy film All Of Us Strangers, has also been spotted several times walking the dog she bought for nine-year-old Ivy Rose two years ago.
But Claire, who had never owned a dog before, admitted in a podcast that it had taken a while to get used to the new addition.
“The first two weeks were hell,” she said. “Having a child was hard work, but the love is so overwhelming that you understand why you do it. But because I got a dog for my child, I started hating everyone and everything, especially the dog. The poop, the pee …”
The actress is currently filming Enid Blyton’s The Magic Faraway Tree, starring an all-star cast including Andrew Garfield, Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer), Lenny Henry and Michael Palin.
She will also appear in the British black comedy Savage House with Richard E. Grant.
