The Crew will be unplayable on PC from April, according to its Steam page

Ubisoft's 2014 online racing game, The crewis currently not available to purchase from Steam, and according to its store pagethe servers will also soon be shut down for good, making it unplayable.

This news was first brought to attention by Twitter/X account @Wario64, who said that visiting the game's store page now yields two notices. The first is simple and reads: “The crew is no longer available on the Steam Store.” That's right, as the big, green 'add to cart' button is no longer there, although there is apparently still the option to download the free demo.

According to the second notice on the page, all additional DLC content is also now off-purchase, and it appears there is no other way to obtain it if you didn't already own it. The message also states: “The game will remain playable for everyone until March 31, 2024 The crew owners. After this date, the game servers will be disabled, making the game no longer accessible.”

It's worth noting that Ubisoft has seemingly added nothing at the time of writing The crew to the growing list of decommissioned online servers – it usually highlights the games whose servers will be shut down a few months in advance on the website. For example, in October it was announced that there would be online servers for 10 games, including some classics Assassin's Creed titles, will close in January 2024.

An online search also shows that the PlayStation 4 version of The crew also missing from the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox store page directs users to play it through Ubisoft+. Search anyway The crew the list of Ubisoft+ games only appears The crew 2 And The Crew Motorfestindicating that it has also been removed from the publisher's subscription service.
