Deion Sanders has lost another Colorado coach as his program threatens to spin out of control after its shocking end to the season.

The Buffaloes started the year 3-0 and earned a spot in the national rankings, but fell dramatically and finished the season 4-8, thanks to a six-game losing streak.

Tight Ends coach Tim Brewster resigned last week and offensive coordinator Sean Lewis was named San Diego State's head coach on Wednesday.

It comes after Sanders also lost a number of high school players in recent weeks, including two quarterbacks.

Things weren't looking good for Sanders, who has completely overhauled Colorado's roster since arriving in Boulder 12 months ago.

A post on Instagram read: “Coach Prime. Thank you for your continued guidance and support throughout my journey with CU football.

“You have selflessly dedicated a significant portion of your life to helping athletes and coaches like me.

“I sincerely appreciate all the time and effort you have put into me and my career. I am forever grateful for all the advice and endless encouragement you have given me.

Williams has built a reputation as one of college football's premier assistant coaches and was a central part of Sanders' staff.

In addition to major changes in the coaching department, Colorado is also facing tremendous player unrest.

Starting offensive linemen Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan and Van Wells will enter the transfer portal, while linebacker Marvin Ham II and tight end Caleb Fauria also plan to enter the portal.
