Anne Hegerty of The Chase has revealed that she still lives in a flat owned by the Housing Association despite her huge success as a TV star.
The governess, 64, who is reportedly worth £3.2m, owns half of the property and rents out the other half and moved on before finding fame on the ITV show.
Anne said on the How To Be 60 With Kaye Adams podcast: ‘I live in a Housing Association flat.
I own half and rent the other half.
When asked what she spends her money on, she admitted: “Most of the time she’s sitting on the bench.” I like to think that she is sitting on the bench.

‘I buy clothes, stupid amounts of clothes.
Anne, who is autistic, has never been married and has no children.
She explained on the podcast: ‘The two things that seem to cost people the most money are their families and their vacations.
‘I’m fine for disposable income, let’s say. I’m not really an expensive person, and that’s good. I’m comfortable, so to speak.

It comes after Anne last year shed a light on how her autism has prevented her from finding love.
She revealed that the longest relationship she’s been in was four months and ended by saying that she was “not good” at giving him proper care.
Anne goes on to joke that she is “basically a Cyborg” after learning that she has an emotional intelligence level of only 1%.

In the clip from her spin-off series The Chasers Road Trip, Anne reflected on how difficult it has been to find love due to her autism.
She said: ‘One of the things that really goes along with autism is that I can’t really maintain relationships. I tried.
“My longest relationship was four months and it only lasted that long because he lived in Brighton and I lived in Manchester.
“He was a lovely guy, but I’m good at the kind of attention people need.”
In the clip, Anne and her Chaser co-stars Mark Labbett and Shaun Wallace also completed a test to find out their emotional intelligence (EQ) level, with narrator Rob Brydon explaining that 90% of people have a higher percentage. .
