Chase Australia star Mark Labbett broke his silence on Wednesday following his shock split from his British television presenter girlfriend Hayley Palmer.
The quiz master, 58, known by his nickname The Beast, shared a photo on social media of himself cradling his slimmed-down figure while eating soup.
Mark was all smiles in the heartwarming photo as he showed off his slim body to the camera as he prepared to dip a piece of bread into the bowl.
He captioned the photo with some revealing words: “My summer of protein and pain.”
The British-born star then revealed he was on a health kick following his split: ‘Gym. Power supply. It feels good to be The Beast.

‘Now trying to get some leg strength back in the gym. The only downside to losing so much weight.’
Last month, Labbett announced his split from girlfriend Hayley Palmer after a year together.
Mark and 42-year-old Sky Entertainment reporter Hayley celebrated their one-year anniversary on social media in May, but he now later claimed there was too much of an age difference between them.

Palmer confirmed the news of their split on Instagram, writing: ‘It is with regret that I announce that me and Mark have gone our separate ways. We have had the best year together and I sincerely wish him all the best for the future.”
A source said The sun: ‘Mark had a nice time with Hayley and has a lot of respect for her, but they wanted different things.
‘She likes to dress up and go to parties and showbiz events, while he prefers to stay at home.

The pair had been dating since early 2023, with Mark previously admitting he was ‘a very lucky man’ to be with her.
Sources claimed the star wooed the TV presenter on a series of dates after he had been ‘friends’ for some time, following his split from wife Katie in 2020.
